A Special General Meeting (SGM) of Society of Nepalese Engineers in UK (SONEUK) was held on 27th of February 2021 virtually in Zoom, chaired by Chairperson Mr Sanyukta Shrestha and conducted by General Secretary Dr Bidur Ghimire. The main agenda of the SGM was to present and discuss the revised Membership Eligibility Criteria for endorsement.

On behalf of the SONEUK Constitution Sub-committee, the coordinator and Vice-chairperson Mr Narad Bhandari put forward an amendment No. 1 to working By-Laws 2020 (‘Bidhan’ of SONEUK) in the SGM for discussion. The SGM, attended by 60+ active members discussed on revised eligibility criteria for general members and minor update on formation of sub-committees, and it endorsed the “SONEUK By-Laws 2020 (with Amendment No.1 Feb 2021)” with a suggestion to include a guidance document as an appendix by expanding Engineering fields.

The SGM then followed by “Bingo” for entertaining the SONEUK members and their families, which was conducted by SONEUK Secretary and coordinator of Social and Entertainment Sub-committee Dr Roshan Bhattarai, supported by the team and Executive Committee (EC).
