SONEUK Holds Successful 2025 Annual General Meeting in London

On August 30, 2025, the Society of Nepalese Engineers in the UK (SONEUK) convened its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Woolwich, London. Under the leadership of Chairperson Er. Subodh Timilsina and General Secretary Er. Manoj Pun, the session provided a comprehensive look at the organization's growth and operational milestones.

Year in Review: A Record of Activity

General Secretary Er. Manoj Pun presented the 6th Executive Committee’s Annual Report, which documented a remarkably active year. The AGM officially endorsed the success of 46 distinct events, including:

• Professional development through CPD programs and technical training.

• Industry engagement via field visits, talk sessions, and webinars.

• Community and strategic growth through charity events, MoU signings, and the landmark 10th Annual Conference.

Subcommittee and Financial Oversight

The meeting featured detailed reporting from various committee leads to ensure transparency and strategic alignment:

• Finance: Treasurer Er. Suman Chalise delivered the year's financial statement.

• Specialized Reports: General Secretary Er. Manoj Pun represented the Training & CPD, Talk Programme, and IT departments on behalf of their respective leads.

• Community & Career: Er. Sangita Pokhrel updated the assembly on Social Subcommittee initiatives, while Er. Brahmandana Sapkota delivered the Career Development report.

Membership and Growth

Er. Pukar Shiwakoti, Membership Committee Coordinator, reported a significant surge in interest with 50 new members joining within the year. While celebrating this growth, he also addressed the logistical challenges and strategies surrounding membership renewals to ensure the society's long-term sustainability.
