SONEUK is the abbreviation for Society of Nepalese Engineers in UK.
Ever since Jung Bahadur Rana’s historic Britain trip in 1850 at the time of Queen Victoria, hundreds of thousands of Nepalese people have visited the UK. In this span of time, many engineers also have come & some settled in different parts of the UK. Even with the limited number, Nepalese engineers in the UK tried to establish a forum for themselves. In December 2007, about 100 engineers gathered in Central London and formed a Society with the objective to organize social gathering and foster relationship among and including the family members of Nepalese Engineers living in the United Kingdom. The society frequently organizes Seminar, training and workshop for skill transfer and knowledge sharing among Nepalese community living in UK and Nepal.
